New Brunswick, NJ – October 23, 2012 – Connotate, Inc., the leading provider of solutions that help organizations automate data collection from the Web, today announced a significant increase in bookings and partner signings in the third quarter 2012, marked by a growth in demand for its hosted solutions for a widening array of use cases.
“Connotate’s momentum continued during the quarter as we executed on the growth strategy that we outlined following our acquisition of Fetch Technologies,” said Keith Cooper, CEO of Connotate. “There are two key trends underlying this momentum. First, many of our long-term customers are acquiring additional multi-year licenses, expanding their use of Connotate to new business units within their organizations. Second, among new customers we are seeing the rapid emergence of use cases such as competitive intelligence, sales intelligence and B2C health insurance management, which is driving growth beyond our core base of news aggregation and digital publishing."
As a privately-held, venture-backed software firm, Connotate does not release specific revenue figures. Connotate executives noted, however, that in the quarter ending September 30, 2012, new customer wins included a global manufacturer of appliances, a multi-state business law firm, and a rapidly growing B2C provider of health care management.
Also during the quarter, Connotate announced new partnerships with Systech, a leading business intelligence services provider, and CrowdSource, an Amazon Mechanical Turk Partner providing full-service crowdsourcing solutions. Connotate also expanded its Strategic Advisory Board with the addition of Tony Uphoff, former CEO of UBM TechWeb, and Scott Schulman, former chief strategy officer of Dow Jones.
“We anticipate continued expansion into new markets and applications as the focus of Big Data turns outward to the vast untapped potential of the Web,” said Ryan Mulholland, president of Connotate. “Our technology platform was built to ensure optimal results and timely data. As a full-service solution, our ability to offer CAPTCHA and throttling as well as follow-the-sun support is unparalleled in the industry – and customers are reaping the rewards of this approach. In September 2012, we launched the first in a series of webinars highlighting the results our customers have achieved. As a complement to that, our commitment to delivering value to our customers through automation will be the theme of our first combined Connotate/Fetch User Group meeting on October 29, 2012.”
