New York, NY – November 13, 2012 — Vaultive, a provider of cloud data encryption solutions designed to maintain the control, security and compliance of data processed by cloud-based services, today announced that distinguished industry veteran Shelley Vereen has joined the company as vice president of sales. Vereen is responsible for driving the strategic and operational elements of Vaultive’s sales force, encompassing direct and indirect sales, reporting directly to the CEO. Prior to joining Vaultive, she developed and implemented a global sales strategy for security products at Microsoft and led and managed large US Public Sector teams at Symantec. Prior to Microsoft and Symantec, Vereen was a key contributor in driving sales momentum at Raptor Systems and Riptech, leading up to their respective acquisitions. Her 20-year success is notable for her commitment to customer security and satisfaction delivered through her sales teams.
“I am committed to delivering resilient and effective security solutions for our customers. The work Vaultive is doing enables organizations worldwide to overcome the data control and ownership challenges presented by the cloud computing model,” said Vereen. “The cornerstone of my approach is consistent customer engagement and I look forward to leveraging my experience to align Vaultive’s sales strategy with our customers’ requirements to help them meet and exceed their organizations’ cloud migration goals.”
In addition to Vereen joining the company, Vaultive also appointed Yael Nishry as director of business development and Ron Koren as director of professional services. Nishry joins the company after holding managerial positions with KPMG and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), where she provided risk management and regulatory consulting for complex IT organizations at Fortune 500 companies. Prior to Vaultive, Koren served as a senior system engineer and team leader at Cisco Systems, and led an IT security deployment team while an officer in the Israel Defense Force (IDF).
“Vaultive is growing our top-notch team, attracting exceptional and experienced people from across the industry,” said Ben Matzkel, chief strategy officer of Vaultive. “These additions are catapulting Vaultive ahead in the market.”
Vaultive’s enterprise-grade cloud data encryption solutions enable customers to encrypt data-at-rest, data-in-transit and data-in-use in the cloud in a format that can be searched, sorted and indexed, while the organization’s IT department retains control of the encryption keys. This addresses the four principal business challenges that organizations face when migrating data to the cloud: data security and risk mitigation, regulatory compliance, unauthorized data disclosure and access, and international privacy/ data residency regulations.
