WALTHAM, Mass.—Feb. 25, 2013—Bit9, the leader in Trust-based Security, today announced a strategic initiative under which the company will partner with industry-leading network security providers to deliver a first-of-its kind integration of network security with Bit9’s trust-based real-time endpoint and server security solution. The integration will enable the Bit9 security platform to take data from firewalls, file analysis or other network security solutions, and deliver immediate malware alert confirmation and accelerated incident response from the Bit9 console. This integration will benefit customers by improving their security, reducing their operational effort and accelerating their incident response times.
This unique combination gives organizations the most comprehensive, effective protection against advanced threats and malware by delivering four industry firsts:
“This strategic initiative addresses a critical gap in comprehensive enterprise malware detection and incident response, which is the ability to determine if malicious files identified by network-based security solutions have reached or executed on endpoints and servers,” said Patrick Morley, chief executive officer of Bit9. “Our forthcoming product, and the integration partnerships we are announcing with leading network security companies, closes this gap by combining real-time endpoint sensor and continuous monitoring capabilities with network-based malware detection. Our mutual customers will benefit from a single console view that will enable them to swiftly and accurately respond to threats to their network and devices connected to it.”
Bit9 today announced details of its first partnerships under this initiative in separate news releases today that can be seen here and here. Bit9 will announce full details of its integration product in the second quarter of 2013.
Bit9 is exhibiting at RSA Conference 2013 in San Francisco Feb. 25 through Feb. 28 in booth #545.
