Needham, Mass., February 9, 2010 – RatePoint, Inc., a leading provider of customer reviews, testimonials and online reputation management services, today announces the full integration of one-click social sharing for the entire RatePoint suite, including customer reviews and testimonials.
Small businesses now can easily showcase reviews and testimonials on Facebook and Twitter to enhance their reputation with existing and future customers, as well as increase the amount of content found in search engines for their business. RatePoint previously introduced social sharing for other content such as e-mail campaigns, coupons and offers.
“One-click social sharing of reviews and testimonials allows small businesses to easily publish content to the most highly visited social media sites,” said Neal Creighton, co-founder and CEO of RatePoint. “Consumers’ time on social networks is increasing and small businesses have the opportunity to present relevant content to consumers where they spend their time. Reviews and testimonials are highly valued by consumers; RatePoint allows small businesses to distribute reviews and testimonials through search engine syndication and high-volume social media sites.”
A 2009 study by Opinion Research Corp. found online customer evaluations have an influence on the decision to purchase a product or service for 84 percent of Americans.
In addition, research from Deloitte & Touche showed 69 percent of consumers who read reviews share them with friends, family or colleagues. Reviews and testimonials can easily be shared with others through RatePoint’s one-click social sharing. Facebook and Twitter icons are located above all reviews on the businesses public profile page.
“Social sharing gives small businesses the ability to quickly create and share content, links and sources of information about themselves online,” Creighton said. “Our one-click process makes it easier for consumers to find small businesses through search engines and review the business’s reputation when making a purchase decision.”
When a new review or testimonial comes into the RatePoint Business Center, a business can click the Facebook or Twitter icons above the review to post it to those networks. SMBs can also schedule reviews to be automatically posted onto Twitter and Facebook once they are received and reviewed.
RatePoint also introduced a new URL shortener for businesses to use in social media posts. The automatically-generated r8t.us URL shortener will allow small businesses to post short links that direct to customer reviews and testimonials.
Small businesses that sign-up for a free RatePoint account at www.ratepoint.com will be provided with 30-days of access to RatePoint’s review publishing tools. Additionally, the RatePoint free account is free to use forever and features:
