Pwnie Express, the leading provider of rapid deployment remote security assessment products, today announced the appointment of Paul Paget as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Paul transitions leadership from founder Dave Porcello who will continue to guide the company’s product vision as Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
Paul brings to Pwnie Express more than 30 of years of leadership in technology companies ranging from startups to Fortune 50s. Most recently he served as CEO of Savant Protection, an innovator in protecting infrastructure and industrial control systems, where he remains on the board as executive chairman. Prior to that Paul served as President and CEO of Core Security Technologies, where he successfully built the company into the leader in automated penetration testing with over 600 customers in 40 countries. Paul also held key executive positions at Baltimore Technologies Americas, growing the company to a $30 +million dollar business and VP of Sales and Marketing at CyberTrust, which was acquired by Baltimore Technologies.
Paul’s appointment follows the announcement of Pwnie Express’s $5.1 million Series A funding from .406 Ventures and Fairhaven Capital. As CEO, Paul will drive Pwnie Express’s growth strategy. He will focus on building a dominant position in the market for remote security intelligence by providing insight into who is connecting, and to what are they connecting, within the wired and wireless networks of remote locations and branch offices. These hard-to-reach distributed areas of an organization provide today’s high-risk attack paths for cyber adversaries and rogue devices.

Pwnie Express will be moving its headquarters to Boston, Massachusetts, expanding it sales, marketing, finance and engineering teams. Research and development (R&D), and manufacturing operations will remain in Vermont.
