BOSTON, MA - (June 17, 2014) - CloudHealth Technologies, the pioneer in IT service management for the cloud, announced today the latest version of CloudHealth™, the industry’s most comprehensive cloud management platform. Known for enabling executives and managers to make effective business decisions to optimize the cost, performance, security and availability of their cloud infrastructure, the new platform offers even deeper levels of insight on how to optimize compute and storage costs.
“The complexity and pace of change in cloud infrastructure has made it hard for organizations to make informed decisions on how to effectively manage their infrastructure,” said CloudHealth CTO Joe Kinsella. “The CloudHealth integrated console not only simplifies cloud management for effective business alignment, but the platform also offers a level of strategic insight that leads to dramatic and immediate cost-savings.”
CloudHealth provides a single, comprehensive view of the entire cloud ecosystem, enabling enterprises and service providers to align cloud operations with business objectives, reduce costs and proactively manage performance to meet service levels for the business. As an Amazon Web Services Advanced Technology Partner, CloudHealth provides unparalleled visibility into AWS environments, creating value through business insight into assets, costs, performance, provisioning, budgets, revenue, customers, products, and services. New features in the latest CloudHealth platform include:
- New Dynamic User Interface – Offering a 360-degree view with live updates on all cloud assets, the new user interface enables users to easily navigate and customize the broad spectrum of information available to meet their needs. This includes a 3D drill-down capability into instance type, personalized report and alert capabilities, and a subscription-based Pulse feed that automatically updates information with the option to "view details" and access additional information via hyperlinks.
- Reserved Instance Optimizer – Providing in-depth analysis that brings a new level of intelligence to the user, the Reserved Instance Optimizer enables users to plan business group and application resources accurately. It also offers a modeling capability that enables the user to create “what-if” scenarios and act on them via a direct link to the AWS platform. With the Reserved Instance Optimizer, users benefit from a detailed operational and financial view that enables them to better manage usage based on historical trends, identify opportunities for RI savings, and highlight modifications for improved optimization.
- Enhanced Cost Allocation – Users now have the ability to easily access detailed drill-down data reports for all costs associated with their cloud environment. This new enhancement enables users to analyze any charge down to the billable AWS line item and identify charges that require attention. As with all of the CloudHealth reports, users can select a rolled-up view or take advantage of multiple drill-down views designed to ease any auditing activity.
"CloudHealth has enabled us to more effectively align our business reporting needs with our cloud environment. This service helps us evaluate and optimize both cost and the performance of our assets so that we are better equipped to deliver our cloud-based application security solution to our enterprise customers,” said Bill Brown, CTO, Veracode. “In addition to the product’s effectiveness, we appreciate that CloudHealth is continuously collaborating with its customers on new enhancements to the platform, empowering us with the tools and strategic visibility we need to maintain our cloud environment.”
