WALTHAM, Mass.—November 24, 2014—Bit9® + Carbon Black®, the leader in endpoint threat prevention, detection and response, today announced the appointment of Chris Menard as executive vice president and chief financial officer.
Menard, who has been CFO at successful public and private technology companies, is responsible for all of Bit9 + Carbon Black’s finance and administration activities. He joins the company from Brightcove, a publicly held video SaaS company in Boston where as CFO he led the company’s successful IPO in 2012. Previously, he spent nine years at Phase Forward, a leading provider of enterprise software, which went public in 2004 and was eventually acquired by Oracle in 2010. Menard joined Phase Forward in 2001 as director of finance and was CFO at the time of the acquisition.
Menard earned an MBA in finance from Boston College and a bachelor’s degree in finance from Babson College. He serves on the board of Globoforce, where he is audit committee chair, and on the board of overseers at Babson College.
