Threat Stack, a leader in cloud-native security and compliance management, today announced it closed the first half of 2016 with 223 percent year-over-year revenue growth. Based upon exceptional market adoption of the Threat Stack Cloud Security Platform™ (CSP), the company also announced the expansion of its sales leadership team and the opening of its new headquarters office at 55 Summer St. in Boston.
Threat Stack’s exciting growth has been fueled by broad demand spanning early stage, high-growth to enterprise organizations that are transitioning their workloads to the cloud and need new and innovative solutions to provide continuous security monitoring in modern cloud environments.
Acquia, the leading provider of cloud-based, digital experience management solutions, recently selected Threat Stack CSP for inclusion in the Acquia Platform’s portfolio of security toolsets. “Acquia operates at cloud-scale and requires tools that can handle dynamic and unpredictable data volume as we deliver some of the largest and most complex workflows of the modern web,” said Craig Chamberlain, director of security research, Acquia. “Threat Stack technology increases the velocity of security operations and will provide uniquely rich datasets that support our increasingly sophisticated analytics.”
To support the broadening market and increasing demand, Threat Stack has announced new sales leadership to provide targeted support across the high-growth, cloud-based companies as well as enterprise-level organizations running in the cloud or in transition.
Jim Crowley, who joined Threat Stack as VP of sales one year ago, moves into the newly created position of VP of enterprise and channel sales. Crowley will use his extensive background in enterprise sales and channel development to drive the enterprise and channel strategy for the company.
The company has also brought on Jim McDonough as VP of inside sales. Building on his impressive experience in managing high-velocity inside sales teams at companies including Attend, Mashery and Smartbear Software, McDonough will continue to build out the sales organization with targeted focus on mid-market companies that need to assure security for themselves and their customers. In addition, Mimi Alperovich, most recently at Logentries and LevelUp, joins Threat Stack as director of business development to build the company’s rapidly expanding sales prospecting and business development team.
Following the recent $15.3 million Series B funding to accommodate its steady growth, Threat Stack has moved into new 13,768 sq. ft. office space at 55 Summer Street in Boston. The new space is more than three times the size of the company’s former office and is located in Downtown Crossing, which is quickly becoming a technology hub as more companies expand into the city.
“At Threat Stack we pride ourselves on solving the real security challenges our customers are facing every day, and we are excited to see that our commitment to innovation continues to propel our growth in the cloud security market,” said Brian M. Ahern, Chairman and CEO, Threat Stack. “I’m proud of the milestones the team has achieved so far this year across all facets of our business. As Threat Stack continues to scale rapidly, we’ll maintain our focus on selling to mid-market and high-growth companies like Acquia, while also expanding our foothold in the market to meet the needs of larger enterprise organizations.”
