EnergyHub, a leading home energy solutions provider, today announced the appointment of David Wechsler as Vice President of Business Development and Utility Operations. Wechsler will draw upon his 14 years of expertise in computing and Smart Grid technologies to oversee EnergyHub’s partnerships and utility pilots.
“With EnergyHub’s recent funding and the upcoming announcement of our initial large-scale pilots, we were ready to bring the company to the next level,” said Seth Frader-Thompson, CEO of EnergyHub. “David’s extensive experience and knowledge of the industry will help position EnergyHub to be a leader as we commercialize our technology and roll out to larger markets.”
Wechsler was most recently part of a team providing consulting services to optimize demand side management and energy efficiency programs for the nation’s largest utilities. Previously, Wechsler was CEO of Lanthorn Technologies, an early Smart Grid technology solutions provider for electric, gas, and water utilities that he founded in 2001. Prior to Lanthorn, Wechsler founded t3, an Internet development consulting firm that was ultimately acquired in a public stock transaction in 1999.
“Companies have tried for years to crack this space and I believe that EnergyHub has nailed one of the key missing pieces in the value chain – the consumer-facing technology,” says Wechsler. “I am thrilled to be part of this dynamic team.”
