SAN FRANCISCO, FEBRUARY 14, 2017 – RSA CONFERENCE – Vaultive, an innovator in cloud data security, today announced an enhanced set of cloud data security capabilities for Microsoft Dynamics 365. These new security controls take advantage of Vaultive’s next-generation Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB) to offer Microsoft customers greater control over sensitive customer relationship management (CRM) data in the cloud.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 customers can now use the Vaultive platform to implement a cloud data security model that establishes clear segregation of duties between their internal information security teams and Microsoft cloud personnel. Combined with Vaultive’s broader CASB capabilities, this gives organizations a unified approach for protecting cloud data across Microsoft cloud services such as Dynamics 365 and Office 365, as well as other non-Microsoft software-as-a-service (SaaS) platforms from leading vendors like ServiceNow and Oracle.
“Microsoft Dynamics 365 is gaining market momentum, but it’s poorly served by third-party CASB vendors relative to its primary competitor, Salesforce.com,” said Doug Lane, vice president of product marketing for Vaultive. “Vaultive’s leadership position in securing Office 365, our previous experience protecting Microsoft Dynamics, and our newly expanded platform capabilities make us uniquely capable of protecting sensitive business data in Microsoft Dynamics 365.”
The Vaultive platform enhances Microsoft Dynamics 365 security by providing:
- Selective encryption, with customer-held keys, of fields and file attachments
- Policy controls to prevent non-compliant application usage
- Blocking and redaction of potentially sensitive information based on data characteristics
- Optional secure server-side synchronization of Vaultive-encrypted Exchange Online email with Microsoft Dynamics 365.
This added control allows organizations to attain the benefits of cloud computing for additional business processes without losing control of their data and introducing new security and compliance challenges. By applying a unified set of security controls across disparate cloud vendors and simplifying the process of integrating new SaaS platforms and custom applications, the Vaultive platform gives organizations a future-proof cloud security approach that can adapt as needs evolve over time.
