BOSTON – December 4, 2017 – CloudHealth Technologies today announced it has recently completed its Service Organization Controls 2 (SOC 2) examination under AT-C Section 105 and AT-C Section 205, Attest Engagements (AICPA, Professional Standards). Completion of the SOC 2 Type II examination indicates that selected CloudHealth Technologies processes, procedures and controls have been formally evaluated and tested by an independent accounting and auditing firm. The examination included the company’s controls related to the Trust Services Principles and Criteria of Security and Availability.
This certification is a demonstration of CloudHealth Technologies’ commitment and significant investment in larger compliance efforts to meet and exceed industry requirements. In addition to validating maturity of its organization, it also sets CloudHealth Technologies on a path of continuous improvement for internal policies, controls and monitoring across all teams and functions.
A SOC 2 examination is performed in accordance with AT-C Section 105 and AT-C Section 205, Attest Engagements (AICPA, Professional Standards). SOC 2 is designated as an acceptable method for a user entity’s management to obtain assurance about service organization internal controls over Security, Availability, Processing Integrity, Confidentiality, and Privacy without conducting additional assessments.
A SOC 2 examination is widely recognized, because it represents that a service organization has been through an evaluation of their control activities as they relate to the applicable Trust Services Principles and Criteria. A Type II report includes the service organization's system description, as well as a detailed testing of the operating effectiveness of the service organization's controls throughout the specified period.
“With this new certification, CloudHealth Technologies is building even more trust and confidence in our service delivery and controls over information and data,” said Joe Kinsella, CTO and Founder of CloudHealth Technologies. “CloudHealth provides IT leaders with peace of mind and assurance that we have the proper internal controls in our systems and organization to keep customer information secure and highly available.”
