RSA CONFERENCE, SAN FRANCISCO — April 17, 2018 — Carbon Black, a leader in next-generation endpoint security, today announced it has expanded its relationship with IBM Security [NYSE: IBM] as the Cb Predictive Security Cloud (PSC)™ will be part of the newly launched IBM X-Force Threat Management Services to further combat advanced threats across the entire threat lifecycle.
Carbon Black also announced that strong customer adoption of existing Carbon Black / IBM integrations has fueled two new integrations between Cb Defense and IBM Security’s QRadar and BigFix.
Cb Predictive Security Cloud and IBM X-Force Threat Management Services
IBM X-Force Threat Management Services are designed to elevate the focus of the IT team from remedial tasks to more impactful work (such as threat hunting), along with the necessary threat insight, prevention, detection, response, and recovery required to manage risk and action in today’s cyber threat environment.
In alignment with the National Institute of Science and Technology (NIST) Cybersecurity Framework, IBM X-Force Threat Management Services provide expertise, AI, and orchestration across all phases of the cyber-threat lifecycle, reducing risk and response time. Data from Carbon Black’s Predictive Security Cloud (PSC) will help fuel these services.
The Cb Predictive Security Cloud ™ (PSC) is a converged endpoint protection platform delivering next-generation security and IT operations services through the cloud and ensures that products and services are delivered in an effective and timely manner.
The Cb Predictive Security Cloud provides customers with:
Industry-Leading Orchestration Tools to Battle Cyber Threats
IBM X-Force Threat Management Services are delivered through the IBM X-Force Protection Platform built upon a foundation of AI capabilities, enabling faster identification of data, simplification of the security tool set, and employing industry-leading orchestration tools to battle cyber threats at a new level. Security operations have near real-time visibility and actionable insights, garnered from the intelligence collected and analyzed from more than two trillion events per month, across more than 130 countries. The IBM X-Force Protection Platform uses best-in-breed technology, like Watson for cybersecurity, User Behavior Analytics, and IBM Resilient to automate and orchestrate key tasks to reduce false positives and accelerate response to attacks.
Cb Defense + QRadar Integration
Carbon Black also announced the “Cb Defense App for QRadar,” available via the IBM Security App Exchange. (The IBM Security App Exchange enables IBM teams, customers, business partners, and other developers to create and share applications that integrate with QRadar, IBM BigFix and other IBM Security solutions.)
