AthletixNation, a multimedia sports content platform, and Kaltura, Inc. (http://www.kaltura.com), developer of the first open source video platform, announced today that the companies have entered a strategic partnership and integrated Kaltura’s video capabilities into the AthletixNation offering in order to deliver premium Division I college video highlights to AthletixNation publishers. The integrated solution is already in use by several websites of local sports channels and networks.
“AthletixNation is an official online syndicator of Division I college sports video and applications – we serve premium content to our publishers, and video delivery and management are a critical part of our content platform. We were looking for a powerful open source video platform with advanced functionality and flexible integration options. Kaltura was a great fit,” said Davyeon Ross, President and CEO of AthletixNation. “Partnering with Kaltura, we have created a strong relationship with the team, and have been able to customize the Kaltura technology to fit into our platform in a way that is seamless to our publishers and provides the optimal experience to the end viewers. Video integration into our March bracket application is going to be even more powerful.”
AthletixNation provides publishers with top quality post-game video content and interactive sports applications featuring a variety of Division I schools and conferences. Using Kaltura’s open source video platform, AthletixNation allows multiple publishers to display and manage their specific video content by dynamically configuring their own premium-content playlists.
“Our flexible open source video platform empowers integrators, developers and value-added resellers to customize and operate their own tailored video solutions across their network of publishers, and to do so in the most engaging and cost-effective fashion” said Ron Yekutiel, Kaltura Chairman and CEO. “AthletixNation integrated our technology with their robust delivery platform to provide premium on-demand sports content to their network of sites. We look forward to further deepening our relationship and pursuing additional third party software vendors, service providers, and content aggregators.”
