(www.thingmagic.com), a leading developer of radio frequency identification (RFID) technology, today announced the World Economic Forum has recognized ThingMagic co-founder and CTO Yael Maguire as a Young Global Leader (YGL) 2009. Each year, the Forum names between 200 and 300 outstanding young leaders for their professional accomplishments, commitment to society and potential to contribute to shaping the future of the world.
Maguire joins this year’s group which includes founders and executives from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Dell Inc. Foundation, Facebook, Goldman Sachs, Kiva.org, Skype, the Tiger Woods Foundation, Do Something and YouTube, among others. He and other Young Global Leaders are invited to convene at biannual summits, and other Forum events and meetings, to collaborate on initiatives to tackle some of the key challenges of our generation.
