BOSTON, August 17, 2021 – Onapsis, the leader in business-critical application cybersecurity and compliance, today announced it was recognized by Inc. Magazine on the annual Inc. 5000 list, the most prestigious ranking of the nation's fastest-growing private companies. Onapsis joins leading technology-driven companies such as Intuit, Zappos, and Microsoft that have been named Inc. 5000 honorees in past years.
Enterprises around the globe are significantly expanding the use of The Onapsis Platform to gain visibility, threat intelligence, and efficiencies to secure cloud, hybrid, and on-premises business-critical applications. Onapsis protects critical data for more than 300 global businesses, including 20% of the Fortune 100, and has grown 187% over the past three years. Earlier this year, the company showcased the importance of business-critical application security by releasing a joint cyber threat intelligence report with SAP that provided actionable information on how threat actors are targeting and potentially exploiting SAP applications.
“Our growth over the years highlights just how seriously enterprises are taking security for business-critical applications and the value Onapsis delivers to these firms,” said Mariano Nunez, CEO and co-founder of Onapsis. “I’m truly honored to see Onapsis on this prestigious list, very proud of the work our team has accomplished to get us here, and grateful to our partners and customers for their continued collaborations. As more and more enterprises integrate and migrate applications to the cloud, securing and mitigating risk for these interconnected systems will become increasingly crucial, and Onapsis will continue to deliver the best-in-class cybersecurity solution for them.”
Being recognized as one of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies comes less than a year after Onapsis raised a $55 million Series D growth round to significantly scale the company through rapid expansion into the business-critical SaaS application market. The Onapsis Platform now provides unprecedented visibility into business-critical systems including SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, and other leading SaaS applications.
“The 2021 Inc. 5000 list feels like one of the most important rosters of companies ever compiled,” says Scott Omelianuk, editor-in-chief of Inc. “Building one of the fastest-growing companies in America in any year is a remarkable achievement. Building one in the crisis we’ve lived through is just plain amazing. This kind of accomplishment comes with hard work, smart pivots, great leadership, and the help of a whole lot of people.”

More about Inc. and the Inc. 5000
Methodology
Companies on the 2021 Inc. 5000 are ranked according to percentage revenue growth from 2017 to 2020. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2017. They must be U.S.-based, privately held, for-profit, and independent—not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies—as of December 31, 2020. (Since then, some on the list may have gone public or been acquired.) The minimum revenue required for 2017 is $100,000; the minimum for 2020 is $2 million. As always, Inc. reserves the right to decline applicants for subjective reasons. Growth rates used to determine company rankings were calculated to three decimal places. There was one tie on this year’s Inc. 5000. Companies on the Inc. 500 are featured in Inc.’s September issue. They represent the top tier of the Inc. 5000, which can be found at http://www.inc.com/inc5000.
