BOSTON – April 14, 2025 – InStride Health, an outpatient provider of specialty anxiety and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) treatment for kids, teens and young adults, today announced that co-founder and Chief Medical Officer Dr. Mona Potter was recognized as a recipient of Modern Healthcare’s 2025 Innovator Awards. This award honors outstanding leaders and organizations driving innovation that improves care, achieves measurable results and contributes to clinical and financial goals.
“It’s an honor to be included amongst this group of medical professionals doing some of healthcare’s most forward-thinking, important work. This recognition speaks to the impact that InStride’s innovative pediatric mental health treatment program is having on young people and their families,” said Dr. Potter. “My inclusion on this list, and InStride’s successes, are a result of our entire team’s dedication to changing how we treat pediatric anxiety and OCD. I look forward to continuing that work and further expanding access to this life-changing program.”
The award for Dr. Potter follows other company milestones demonstrating InStride’s momentum and the effectiveness of its treatment. InStride’s mission is to make evidence-based cognitive behavioral therapy accessible to patients and families by accepting many major commercial insurance plans, including its latest in-network addition of Aetna in Connecticut and Massachusetts, announced in February. Last month, the company also announced the results of its second annual outcomes report, which showed that 98% of InStride graduates experienced overall clinical improvement and that 94% of graduates and 97% of caregivers, respectively, would recommend InStride to a friend.
“The ambitious work underway by our 2025 Innovators Awards’ honorees is producing exciting results that will lead to better results for patients and these organizations that are tackling the industry’s biggest challenges,” said Mary Ellen Podmolik, editor-in-chief of Modern Healthcare.
A detailed profile of Dr. Potter and the other honorees is included in the April 14, 2025 issue of Modern Healthcare’s magazine and online at ModernHealthcare.com/Innovators. To learn more about InStride, go to instride.health.
