BOSTON, Mass. - May 13, 2010 - Optaros, the ecommerce innovator, has announced the grand opening and establishment of an office in Bucharest, Romania. The new office will celebrate its opening on Thursday, May 20, 2010, and will serve as a technical development and support hub for Optaros clients across the globe.
"Optaros has laid out an aggressive growth strategy around the convergence of content, commerce and community for higher performing ecommerce solutions," said Bob Gett, chief executive officer, Optaros. "Our Bucharest team will be at the center of execution for many of these solutions, and offer 24-hour support capabilities for our clients. This will enable our more senior developers to focus on strategy, and provide us with the opportunity to innovate quickly, while still delivering the quality of service and support our clients expect."
While the establishment of the office and formation of Optaros S.R.L. (a subsidiary of Optaros, Inc.) are new, Optaros is no stranger to Bucharest. Since 2007, the company has been working with a Romanian partner for development and tech support.
"After seeing the consistently high-quality work from well-educated, tech-savvy people in Romania, we decided to bring them in-house and create a more integrated operation. Our plans are to double the size of our Romanian team in 2010, in our own space and using our own systems," said Gett.
In celebration of the grand opening, for the first time since Optaros' inception in 2004 a company board meeting will be held outside of its Boston headquarters, at the new Bucharest office.
