Bit9 provides Application Whitelisting for advanced threat protection to secure enterprises and government organizations from malware and unauthorized software that bypasses antivirus and traditional endpoint security solutions.
The American Business Awards are the nation’s premier business awards program. All organizations operating in the U.S.A. are eligible to submit entries – public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small.
This year’s Stevie Award winners will be announced during the annual gala on Monday, June 21 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City. More than 600 executives from across the U.S.A. are expected to attend. The event will benefit Oceana (oceana.org), the largest international organization focused on ocean conservation. The ceremonies will be broadcast on radio nationwide by the Business TalkRadio Network.
More than 2,700 entries from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted for consideration in more than 40 categories, including Most Innovative Company of the Year, Management Team of the Year, Best New Product or Service of the Year, Corporate Social Responsibility Program of the Year, and Corporate Environmental Responsibility Program of the Year.
“We are proud to be recognized by one of the world’s most competitive business award programs,” said Patrick Morley, President and CEO of Bit9. “We are pleased to be a finalist and we are excited to see application whitelisting receive recognition for its place in stopping advanced threats in organizations such as Operation Aurora.”
Bit9 Parity application whitelisting is designed to solve today's advanced IT security and management challenges. By providing complete, defense-in-depth endpoint protection, Bit9 proactively hardens laptops, desktops, servers and kiosks. By discovering all applications running on endpoints and assigning a Trust Factor and a policy, Bit9 Parity application whitelisting technology ensures the integrity of the computing environment. By gaining this visibility and control, organizations benefit with lower IT management and helpdesk costs and full protection from malware and unknown threats.
Included in the Bit9 Parity Suite is the Global Software RegistryTM (GSR) – a cloud-based, “look-up” service for software that provides a list of meta data on application files whose trust factor is based on many Anti-Virus scans, prevalence in customer environments, category and more. It is a reliable and up-to-date way to help customers build a whitelist of software and devices appropriate to their business. The GSR acts as a background check on files when Application Whitelisting is first implemented to find out what already exists on users’ endpoint machines. It is also used to look up hashes of files that end users are attempting to run.
Members of the Awards' Board of Distinguished Judges & Advisors and specialized final judging committees will select Stevie Award winners from among Finalists in final judging that will continue through May 28. Finalists were chosen by business professionals nationwide during preliminary judging in April and May.
