RICHMOND, VA, December 2, 2010 -WellAWARE Systems, the leading developer of next-generation wellness monitoring solutions for senior care providers, today named Ron Barden as its new chief financial officer. WellAWARE also announced it was selected as a winner of the 2010 New Product & Technology Awards. These two announcements further demonstrate WellAWARE’s momentum and growing market strength.
Barden joins WellAWARE from Agility Healthcare Solutions (a GE Company) where he served as CFO since 2007. He was instrumental in helping lead the company from initial venture funding through its sale to GE Healthcare, where he continued as the CFO of the GE-Agility business unit. Prior to Agility, Barden held various leadership roles at Cadmus Communications Corporation, Heilig-Meyers, Deloitte & Touche and Ernst & Young. Barden holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (1985) and a Master of Business Administration (2000) from the College of William & Mary and became a Certified Public Accountant in 1987.
