Burlington, Mass. - March 23, 2011 - Veracode, Inc., provider of the world’s only independent cloud-based application risk management platform, today announced it has established a Federal Advisory Board to strengthen the company’s market presence and generate greater awareness and industry dialogue around emerging cyber security topics. “Esteemed members of our Federal Advisory Board share Veracode’s vision and sense of urgency associated with initiating software security verification strategies across the government market, particularly in the areas of combatting cyber crime and advanced persistent threats,” said Matt Moynahan, CEO, Veracode, Inc. “As we accelerate our growth in this market, we look forward to working closely with this team to generate meaningful discussions around federal security topics including those related to secure mission operations, policy setting and changing regulatory requirements to better serve the needs of our federal customers.”

With increasing federal focus on new software deployment platforms, including mobile and the cloud, Veracode and its new Board members, will play an important role in helping agencies understand software security risks and establish software security policies that stand up to emerging audit and regulatory requirements.
