In this newly created executive position, Bartkiewicz will lead strategy and execution planning and development for Mashery’s largest customers and will be better able to serve Mashery’s customers on the East Coast and throughout Europe. Mashery’s Strategic Services team partners with organizations throughout the planning process to align the API program with the broader business strategy, and have already collaborated with more than 150 leading companies across major industries like retail, financial services, travel and media to launch live API programs. These battle-tested best practices help with everything from business planning and establishing performance metrics, to structuring developer outreach programs and creating product roadmaps with specific API business goals, and help bring tried and true expertise to their strategic services engagements. Mashery has also successfully helped many clients define key business development partnerships with leading social media and location based brands further extending the reach of their programs. With a new location in New York’s Soho District and new vice president on board, Mashery is expanding the Strategic Services platform to better serve its clients and prospects on the East Coast and across Europe. “Mashery provided valuable education, insight and guidance on how to design and execute our API program from a one year product roadmap to tips on how to engage developers, create partnerships and how to measure success,” said Nicolas Gaudreau, Vice-President, Digital Media at Yellow Pages Group in Canada, which launched YellowAPI.com in 2010. “We’ve been very pleased with Mashery as a partner.” A veteran of global business, Bartkiewicz will be responsible for driving the acceleration, exploration, innovation and ROI for API investments, overseeing current and future API implementations and harnessing the efforts of the more than 110,000 developers that use Mashery APIs. With 20-years’ experience in technology deployment and risk management, Bartkiewicz has worked with global organizations such as Walmart, Boots, Primedia, UBS, British Telecom, Citibank, US News and World Report, Amazon, Delta, Maidenform, Vogue, Estee Lauder, Telefonica, Iberia, Home Depot, and GE. He is the co-founder and former CEO of cloud based risk intelligence platform CyberFactors, was previously vice president of E&O, Cyber and New Media Risks at The Hartford, and has been an executive at Darwin Professional Underwriters, Salesforce.com, BroadVision, and United Technologies. In 2009 Drew was a member of the Future of the Internet Council with the World Economic Forum in Dubai and Geneva. “Mashery has experienced an unprecedented API volume which indicates an expanding market of opportunity and further validates that API Management needs to be viewed as a mission critical component for every enterprise,” said Drew Bartkiewicz, Vice President of Strategic Services of Mashery. “As enterprises expand their API strategies, the impact will span everything from leading retail to financial services to healthcare and entertainment brands. I’m excited to join the Mashery team to drive our proprietary processes, techniques and market data analytics that help our customers make the most of their API opportunities.” Mashery helps organizations develop global API platforms to facilitate content and data sharing between communities and applications, enabling developers to create applications for mobile phones, social media sites or affiliate websites that can help companies drive sales, broker partnerships and build brands.
