New York, NY – June 27, 2012 — Vaultive, a provider of cloud data encryption solutions that enable organizations to leverage the economy and efficiency of cloud computing while maintaining the data security, control and compliance advantages of on-premise computing, today announced that CEO Elad Yoran and CSO Ben Matzkel will be presenting a session on the topic of encryption of data-at-rest, data-in-transit and data-in-use for Office 365 at the 2012 Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference (WPC). Vaultive also announced that it will expand its product line to support SharePoint® in the cloud, including SharePoint Online, and other Microsoft cloud applications.
Vaultive’s enterprise-class cloud data encryption solutions enable customers to encrypt data-at-rest, data-in transit and data-in-use in the cloud, while enterprise IT retains complete control of the encryption keys. This uniquely addresses the four principal business challenges that organizations face when migrating data to the cloud: data security, regulatory compliance, unauthorized data disclosure and access, and international privacy/ data residency regulations.
“As a cloud computing evangelist, I am excited about the promise Vaultive holds for companies looking to cut costs and improve performance by migrating to the cloud,” said Loryan Strant, Microsoft® Office 365 MVP and co-founder/director at Paradyne. “I have encountered numerous global companies that have wanted to use Office 365 or hosted Exchange but simply couldn’t because of overwhelming privacy, security, legal and regulatory compliance concerns. The fact that Vaultive enables enterprises to maintain complete control over data in the cloud effectively removes all of those concerns.”
Vaultive’s initial product offering, Vaultive for Hosted Exchange, is the only solution developed specifically for Hosted Exchange environments that encrypts data-at-rest and data-in-use. Vaultive’s encryption enables data to be searched, sorted, indexed, and otherwise processed in the cloud without ever being decrypted. This application of industry-standard 256-bit AES protects enterprise data from unauthorized access by a third party or the cloud provider, while enabling disclosure requests to be managed independently by the enterprise. Additionally, because sensitive data never resides in the cloud in an unencrypted form, security risks and concerns about data residency are eliminated, while compliance with regulatory requirements such as SOX, GLBA, HIPAA, HITECH, Basel II, PCI and others is achieved.
“Encryption of data-in-transit and data-at-rest has been recognized as a necessary requirement for cloud data security for some time. However, these two states of encryption are no longer sufficient as they do not protect data while it is being processed in the cloud,” said Maayan Tal, CTO of Vaultive. “Adding encryption of data-in-use allows data to be dynamically processed by applications in the cloud while in an encrypted form, delivering a higher standard of security to the enterprise. As a result, prominent technology media and analysts are already calling Vaultive for Hosted Exchange a best practice that should be part of every migration to the cloud.”
The Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference, the premier event for Microsoft partners, will take place in Toronto, Canada from July 8 through July 12, 2012. Vaultive’s presentation is scheduled on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 from 12:00pm – 12:20pm in the Microsoft Theater. In a related announcement, Vaultive recently announced its new Vaultive Advantage Partner Program and the addition of Director of Channels Traci Blowers.
